Law Clerk Positions:

The five justices of the Idaho Supreme Court and the four judges of the Idaho Court of Appeals each employ two law clerks, typically for a one- or two-year terms. Please contact the chambers of each individual justice or judge for whom you are interested in an appellate clerkship regarding employment opportunities and application requirements.  The starting annual salary for appellate law clerks is $46,452.

Each of Idaho's 42 District Judges also employs a law clerk. If you would like to be considered for one of these law clerk positions, you should contact each District Judge individually.  These law clerk positions are county positions and the salary will vary from county to county.
